Job Description - Director Physician Revenue Cycle

Responsible for the coordination of all processes related to the physician revenue cycle of Kaleida Health. With direct responsibility for the financial health of physician billing, this position monitors the performance of 3rd party billing vendors and works collaboratively with the clinical departments, physicians, Patient Access, Patient Financial Services, Revenue Cycle Clinical Support, Health Information, information technology and other stakeholders as needed to address continuous improvement opportunities and subsequent improvement in net collections and reduction in denials, rework and other inefficiencies related to physician billing. • Establishes performance standards and processes for 3rd party physician billing vendors; monitors performance against expectations. • Facilitates routine periodic (i.e., monthly) performance reviews between 3rd party vendors, clinical departments, and other stakeholders to provide consistent clarity of performance levels and expected process or other improvements required to improve efficiencies and/or financial results. • Maintains regular communications with 3rd party vendors and internal departments to keep abreast of issues affecting operational efficiency and net revenue collections, supports the collaborative effort to move these issues to resolution, and provides feedback on overall operations. • Perform other related duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to meet emergencies. Complies with all quality assurance, customer focus, infection control, safety and all policies and procedures with the department and Kaleida Health. • Understand and follow all Kaleida Health Service Excellence Standards of Performance. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include advanced functions. Knowledge of internet and intranet functions. Working knowledge of department specific software. • Maintains regular attendance at work, including periodic overtime, which is an essential function of the job and is to be expected.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare related field or similar required. Masters of Science preferred. 7 years of experience in Revenue Cycle leadership in a large healthcare organization required.

Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
