Job Description - Director, Portfolio and Launch Management


SUMMARY

Zydus Pharmaceuticals (USA) Inc. is seeking a candidate with experience in portfolio management within the generics pharmaceutical industry to join our team in Pennington, NJ. This position plays a critical role within the organization, working closely with various teams to drive generics strategy across the portfolio from the nomination stage through commercialization. The position will report directly to the Sr. VP of Marketing and Sales Operations. Responsibilities 

· Manage product launch planning activities for all non-institutional products

· Coordinate on and monitor new product prioritization for products from pre-filing through launch

· Manage transition from portfolio products to new product launch planning

· Manage the 505(b)(2) and biosimilar portfolio; develop and assist with executing go-to-market strategies for the company’s innovative products

· Prepare and maintain business cases for Zydus’ 505(b)(2) and biosimilar portfolio

· Identify new generic product opportunities for the US market by utilizing information and competitive intelligence gathered through databases, analyst reports, and information provided by teams within the organization

· Utilize databases such as IQVIA to evaluate product opportunities, identify key trends, and monitor the competitive landscape of the portfolio

· Determine the viability of new product opportunities, providing feedback to support Go/No Go product decisions

· Continuously evaluate the portfolio to identify areas of risk and opportunity, looking across in-line and pipeline products

· Manage product initiation form procedures and processes, including recommending and approving trade dress as well as approving costs of development

· Maintain accurate forecasts for products within the portfolio

· Support and participate in monthly R&D meetings

· Develop and oversee promotional materials and marketing initiatives

· Assist with annual budget and monthly projection activities 

· Partner with pricing and legal teams to manage state price transparency reporting

· Continuously explore ways to streamline and improve current processes, analytics, reporting, and dashboards

· Understand industry standards, company policies, processes, and business standards

· Perform other related duties and ad hoc responsibilities as required


Requirements

Skills and Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Pharmaceutical/generics experience preferred

· Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required

· Extensive experience with IQVIA, IPD Analytics, and PriceRx

· Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

· Ability to prioritize and execute projects within a dynamic environment

· Self-starter who can be effective with minimal supervision

· Analytical with a keen attention to detail

· Strong leadership and communication skills

· Ability to grasp concepts and ideas quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment

· Quantitative mindset

· Ability to resolve complex issues both autonomously and in a team environment
