Our team brings paymentsolutions and associated services to clients around the globe. Our globalclients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of SmallBusinesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, MultiNationals and Governments. We work closely with Issuers, Merchants,FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services. We believethat the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger rolein building and delivering solutions around the world.
The Director is responsible for technical solutioning, client engagement and"voice of the customer" for Visa Commercial Solutions. As our productsuite grows and develops more complex options for clients, it's imperativethat we have specific, deep knowledge of our capabilities to help solutionwith them. This position is accountable for driving detailed discussions withthe regions and sales teams on our products to ensure understanding, definescope and identify where/how our clients can make the most use of ourcapabilities. The Director will also provide expertise to solution for newareas of opportunity that may include new use cases, fintech constructs orverticals. Specific activities include deep demos, product solutioningaround specific use cases and applications, and identification of needswhich may or may not require development.
This role will primarily focus on technical product solutioning opportunitiesin North America. The Director will serve as the VCS Solution Design lead forthe region and liaise with VCS North America Product and Sales teams tosupport complex client engagements.
The ideal candidate is an experienced professional that understands both thebusiness and technical aspects of payments and has a track record ofdelivering solutions that exceed client expectations. This role requiresstrategic thinking, innovation, collaboration, and creativeproblem-solving skills. The candidate will bring prior experience in hands-onclient management, sales solutioning and close knowledge of developments inB2B payments. The candidate must be creative and hands-on, have a biastowards action and inspire others with their vision.
Essential FunctionsLead technical sales solutioning for optimized onboarding and new integratedsolutions in North America. Product types include virtual card solutions,API integrations for B2B payment capabilities, and complex SaaS offeringsPartner with sales and solution teams to close a deal, identify best inclass ways to implement existing products to solve new business problems andcapture requirements for areas that require developmentBe an innovator who can create new solutions using out-of-the-box thinking andour Visa Commercial SolutionsDrive focused discovery sessions and workshops with large financialinstitutions and technology providers across a range of industries tounderstand client's specific business requirements and value driversBring breadth of knowledge and technical expertise to solution for new usecases, fintechs, and verticals. Pinpoint and enable use cases related tocommercial applications with the goal of scaling. Develop a solution designand the necessary configuration that will effectively demonstrate that Visacan address the client's needs and provide business valueDrive adoption, best practices and quantifiable value for our largestcustomers and during this process create impactful relationships and strive tobecome their trusted advisorAct as a resident expert on product capabilities, use cases, and roadmap.Support stakeholder questions related to products and services. Communicateand evangelize product roadmap with key stakeholdersConfidently present and articulate the business value of your proposedsolution to business managers and executivesRationalize product enhancement requests and develop business requirements tosupport new use cases. This includes developing business cases to aid inprioritization of development resources and related investmentsDevelop solution playbooks. Assess regional solution fit vs globalextensibility. Ensure repeatability of solutions at a global level whereapplicableThis is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between bothremote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from theoffice 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with ageneral guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based onbusiness needs.QualificationsBasic Qualifications* 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or atleast 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters,MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications* 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or moreyears of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA,JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD* 10+ years of relevant sales engineering or product managementexperience, preferably in B2B payments* Strong understanding of B2B payments with in-depth knowledge of virtual cardpayments, value-added solutions for corporates, payment tokenization,and issuer processing platforms/providers* Extensive experience with modern API concepts, technical integration,and file delivery
