Director, Quality Engineering

Implementing quality best-known methods within SET & suppliers. Establishing and strengthening the quality culture within SET & suppliers; adjusting the culture from the current focus on reactive fire-fighting to more problem prevention. Develop a 5-year strategic plan for the Supplier Quality organization. Establish and refine Supplier Quality policies and procedures. Strengthen problem-solving (RCCA 8D/5 Why) within SET, suppliers, and GOps. Review supplier manufacturing and QMS, diagnose weaknesses, and suggest improvements. Champion proactive quality - PFMEA, SPC, capability studies, mistake-proofing, RPA (recurrence prevention alerts). Quality Engineering methods/Lean Six Sigma coaching. Role model Lam Core values. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial, with 15 years of experience or equivalent years of experience in a similar role. An advanced degree is preferred. Experience working with the supply chain in the semiconductor industry is beneficial. Proven experience leading a team (direct & matrix) of established engineers in a complex engineering/technology environment. Demonstrated experience applying advanced quality methods to improve quality and reduce variability within a manufacturing environment. Ability to communicate and influence effectively. The ability to collaborate on cross-functional teams. Curious mindset, passion for quality ideas, and the ability to drive innovative change. Adept at creating and delivering effective presentations to executive staff on quality topics and/or escalations.
