This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue recognition and accounting operations, ensuring that revenue is accurately recorded in compliance with accounting standards and company policies. What You Will Do As A Director, Revenue Accounting Operations
The

Revenue Accounting Operations Director ( is responsible for managing and optimizing all revenue accounting processes within the organization. This role involves overseeing revenue recognition, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives to ensure accurate and timely revenue accounting operations.
Revenue Recognition: Lead

and oversee the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606 or IFRS 15). Review and approve complex revenue transactions and contracts.
Financial Reporting: Manage

the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including revenue-related disclosures. Ensure financial reporting is in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or relevant international accounting standards.
Revenue Operations:

Oversee day-to-day revenue accounting operations, including billing, collections, and cash applications. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of revenue data.
Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies related to revenue recognition and accounting. Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and update company policies as needed.
Audit and Internal Controls:

Coordinate external audits related to revenue and liaise with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations. Establish and maintain effective internal controls related to revenue accounting.
Process Improvement:

Continuously evaluate revenue accounting processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Streamline and automate manual processes where possible.
Cross Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment between revenue recognition policies and business practices.
Team Leadership:

Build and lead a team of revenue accounting professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities. Ensure the team's performance and objectives are aligned with company goals.

What You Will Bring As A Director, Revenue Accounting Operations
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred).
Proven experience in revenue accounting, with a minimum of 7-10 years of leadership experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606 or IFRS 15), and financial reporting requirements.
Experience with financial systems and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member
Pay Range* $157,500.00 $220,500.00
*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets,

job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.

Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.

You will also be eligible to receive an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
