As the Director of Rooms, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining the guest experience at Fairmont El San Juan.

In this role, you won’t just manage rooms, you’ll define what makes our hotel stand out. Your ability to inspire your team and innovate in service delivery will be the cornerstone of our success. Together, we’ll set new standards for luxury and service.

Responsibilities:

• Serve on the Executive Committee to drive the hotel’s strategic plan. 
• Manage all of our rooms teams: Front Office, Housekeeping, Fairmont Gold, Guest Services, Guest Experience, overseeing more than 200 colleagues
• Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts, ensuring financial accuracy. 
• Ensure compliance with all of Accor and Fairmont’s Room standards. 
• Lead the hotel team to achieve outstanding service scores. 
• Support the colleague journey and oversee succession planning. 
• Ensure the right processes are in place to respond to guest comments and resolve any complaints promptly.  
• Foster strong communication and cooperation for enhanced guest and colleague satisfaction 

• Background in both housekeeping and front office operations. 
• Involvement with a Luxury product  
• Experience in a unionized environment 
• University degree preferred, Hospitality Management a plus. 
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively under pressure. 
• Demonstrates success in executing intricate procedures, plans and aligning a team towards a goal. 
• Exhibits excellent communication skills. 
• Organized and attention to detail.
