Job Description - Director, Supply Chain Operations

About the role
This role involves implementing the supply chain strategy to align with the company's overall goals. Responsibilities include applying best practices in sourcing, managing cost and service level agreements, negotiating contracts, selecting and managing vendors, and employing risk management strategies to stabilize price volatility and margins.
What you'll do
Lead department of 3-4 purchasers to align company objectives with department goals.
Continuously building vendor relations across all product lines.
Finding ways to reduce inventory and strategically manage/avoid stock-out situations.
Ensure timely delivery of materials
Oversee Purchase Orders
Ensure timely delivery of materials.
Oversee purchasing function to ensure that PO’s are placed timely and key items are always in stock.
Work closely with our Sr. Manager of Supply & Demand Planning to Monitor and provide updates on inventory levels with recommended improvements and changes for slow-moving and obsolete inventories to maximize revenues and minimize losses.
Source premium-quality ingredients that meet or surpass company standards within specified cost parameters.
Cultivate strategic relationships with vendors, leveraging their expertise and resources for optimal company performance.
Proactively develop and test strategic alternatives to current processes for swift implementation in emergencies.
Evaluate supply chain risks, develop contingency plans, and introduce redundancy as needed for critical product continuity.
Develop forecasting, inventory management, and supplier capacity management for optimal and cost-effective product availability.

Qualifications
BS Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or similar type of degree required.
5 plus years hold a leadership role in operations, procurement, inventory management or related fields.
10 plus years of experience as a materials or operations leader in manufacturing set-up (supply chain management, inventory control, operational performance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Advanced level of demand trends, forecasting, labor planning, inventory usage, etc.
Experience with botanical raw material sourcing, consumable packaging,
Cross Functional experience working with R&D, Regulatory, Supply & Demand Planning, Logistics, Finance, quality, Marketing to come about introducing new products & launching in various markets.
Job will require Global travel to manage vendor relations with Partner.Co
The pay range for this role is:
80,000 - 110,000 USD per year (Utah Corporate)
