This role is responsible for:\n\n * Preparing and filing quarterly, annual, and other financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).\n\n * Collaborating closely with Qualcomm\u2019s business units and corporate functions to determine and document the proper accounting treatment of complex and/or new types of transactions.\n\n * Leading projects to assist and advise business units and corporate functions on accounting for acquisitions and dispositions, implementing new accounting guidance, etc.\n\n\n\n\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical accounting and financial reporting, including 5+ years of experience in a Big Four accounting firm. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the capability to influence key organizational decisions.\n\nThis role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA (5 days per week). \n\n \n**This position is not eligible for Qualcomm immigration sponsorship.**\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Accounting or related field. \n\u2022 10+ years of Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting, or related work experience. \n \n*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master\u2019s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Experience in tech industry, XBRL tagging and aptitude for systems (e.g., WDesk, Oracle, HFM, Microsoft) and accounting process flows.\n\n\u2022 5+ years in a Big Four Accounting firm.\n\n\u2022 CPA Certification or country equivalent.\n\n\u2022 Experience working in a large matrixed organization.\n\n\u2022 Technical leadership role with or without direct reports.\n\nLevel of Responsibility:\n\n\u2022 Provides supervision to other supervisors/managers who are direct reports.\n\n\u2022 Decision-making is critical in nature and highly impacts program, product, or project success.\n\n\u2022 Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey highly complex and/or detailed information.
