Events
Office Location: Springfield, IL.



Departmental Mission/Vision/Goals
The vision of IASB Training Development department is that all boards and board
members have the knowledge, skills and abilities to lead and govern effectively.



Position Summary
The Director/Online Learning for Training Development is primarily responsible
for working with Training Development and the Outreach & Training departments
to create, design, layout, and publish member training content for the IASB
Online Learning Center. Additionally, the Director will create, design, layout, and
schedule production for print materials related to select member workshops and
training events and help oversee the Joint Annual Conference Sheraton Hotel
panels and Friday Focus Workshops.



FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB 
Create, design, produce, update and maintain content and materials
for the Online Learning Center and member workshops and training
events:
o Create, layout, design, and maintain content in Articulate Storyline
and publish to the Online Learning Center
o Layout, design and maintain print materials and PowerPoint
presentations for select IASB workshops.
o Produce digital learning content in compliance with IASB style
standards and brand guidelines
Support and enhance the Association’s creative capacity to deliver
learning content to members.
o Seek new ways to create and deliver digital learning to members
o Prepare digital content (audio, video, graphics, and text) for
delivery to members
Oversee the Joint Annual Conference Sheraton Hotel Panels and
Friday Focus Workshops. Provide content and materials leading up
to the Joint Annual Conference for presentations assigned to
Training Development staff, including contact with presenters,
producing handouts, and packing materials.
Serve as direct supervisor to Administrative Assistant, Training
Development
• Attend the Joint Annual Conference in Chicago annually and
performs duties as assigned, including oversight of the Sheraton
panels and events.
• Create and maintain the regular event and training email to members
• Provide general departmental support as needed.
• Practice reliable and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Participates in appropriate professional development as needed.
• Attend occasional meetings outside the office that may require overnight
travel.
• Performs other duties as assigned



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or trade
school;
2. Experience in online learning content production and delivery via a
learning management system
3. Experience in creation, design, and layout in desktop publishing

4. Expertise with desktop publishing programs and design (e.g., Articulate
Storyline, Adobe InDesign, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop)
5. Expertise with Microsoft office programs – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and
Access.
6. Understanding of audio/video/graphics digital formats
7. Excellent team, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of members, and colleagues. .

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Physical Demands
This position requires the employee to be able to lift, move and safely handle
boxes and materials up to 25 pounds; to be able to occasionally stand for
extended periods; and to be able to hear and speak as necessary to perform the
functions of the position.
