Job Description

BryceTech is looking for a highly skilled Administrative Specialist Level 1 to provide high-level administrative and executive support to the AFWERX Director’s Action Group (DAG), enabling smooth operations, strategic communications, and effective execution of leadership priorities. This role is critical in ensuring the Director and senior leaders can focus on innovation strategy, cross-functional initiatives, and stakeholder engagement within the Department of the Air Force and broader innovation ecosystems.

Executive Support:

  • Manage complex calendars, schedule high-priority meetings, and deconflict appointments for DAG leadership.
  • Coordinate senior-level briefings, internal meetings, and external engagements with government, industry, and academia.
  • Prepare, proofread, and edit correspondence, read-aheads, briefing materials, and official documents.

Operational Coordination:

  • Track and manage taskers, suspense items, and priority actions on behalf of the DAG.
  • Maintain awareness of ongoing AFWERX initiatives and provide executive-level situational awareness to senior leaders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for DAG inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

Liaison and Communication:

  • Act as liaison between the DAG and internal/external stakeholders including Air Staff, MAJCOMs, industry partners, and innovation cells.
  • Maintain professional relationships across AFWERX divisions and external agencies to facilitate collaboration and information flow.

Process and Workflow Optimization:

  • Improve and maintain administrative processes to increase efficiency and reduce friction in decision-making.
  • Ensure DAG leadership has timely access to relevant data, reports, and metrics to inform decision-making.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field

Experience Requirements:

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant administrative experience
  • Proven experience in executive-level administrative support within a DoD, federal agency, or high-tempo innovation environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Air Force and DoD organizational structures and communication protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to draft and edit professional correspondence and official documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting a Director’s Action Group or senior military/civilian leadership team.
  • Familiarity with innovation, acquisition, or technology development environments.

Specialized Tool Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and collaborative tools (e.g., Teams, Slack) Security Clearance: Secret  

Additional Information

Must possess an Active Secret security clearance.
