Dirt Foreman

DIRT FOREMAN                                                                                  Kissimmee FL or surrounding area

Jr. Davis Construction Company is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to fill the position of a Dirt Foreman. 

We are one of the largest heavy highway and civil construction firms in the state with over 900 employees, while still retaining a family business atmosphere.

COMPENSATION: Based on experience. Our OJT (On the Job Training) will allow you to move up in our company as your skill set expands.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of Dirt operations
• Efficient at multi-tasking and working under short time constraints
• Assure that all safety and quality measures are taken
• Coordinate with others including subcontractors, trucking and plant managers
• Hand’s on – efficiently operate heavy equipment that applies to grading
• Supervise and train crew members
• Other duties as assigned.
   

Requirements:

• Recent years’ experience working as a “WORKING DIRT FOREMAN”

• Valid Driver license required.
• Must have a safety first attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
   

Knowledge & Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
   

Qualifications:

• Must have own basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver's license for the state in which you reside with acceptable driving record per company minimum standards for drivers.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend, sit, stoop, and stand for long periods of time in the outdoor weather.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
