MCI is currently seeking a Dirt Foreman based in Effingham, Illinois.

Our Dirt Foremen are responsible for working closely with Superintendents and fellow team members to ensure accuracy on the job sites and assist in project completion and troubleshooting. This position records and tracks productions quantities and compares to the estimated costs in order to meet or exceed job specifications. In addition, the Dirt Foreman is key to ensuring safety, applying fundamental knowledge of GPS equipment as it applies to grading, and overseeing all rough and fine grading as it applies to project specifications . This position requires a high degree of accuracy, communication and critical thinking. 

What makes you successful in this position?

• Previous construction, heavy civil construction, project management or surveying experience. 


• AutoCAD, Trimble or TopCon experience in a previous work environment.  You must be able to use an iPad and computer equipment regularly.


• Ability to read and interpret grading plans, specifications, and geotechnical information.  This includes experience with grade checking to meet plans or specifications using a variety of methods such as GPS, stakes and cut sheets, etc.


• Team player mentality and the desire to be a part of a successful, hard-working team.


• Superior time management and technical capacity skills.

The pay range for this position is commensurate based on experience. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
