As the
Disaster Recovery Specialist,
you will
cover IT Disaster Recovery Programs, infrastructure, and applications
residing in the two Company data centers, Cloud, and remote site locations.
This position must ensure the
Company is prepared to recover IT infrastructure and applications from a Disaster according to RTO
(Recovery Time Objectives) and
RPO
(Recovery Point Objectives)
guidelines.
Knowledgeable in the following technologies : virtual servers, database replication, Zerto, disk-based replication technologies, snapshots, networks, cloud technologies, Citrix, SaaS, etc.
Responsibilities: Guide internal IT Technical Towers
(e.g., Network team, Application teams, Database teams, Storage Team) and business application teams on
Disaster Recovery planning procedures
to ensure all requirements are considered, mitigated, and validated through testing.
Identify risks and recommend improvements based on post-exercise report results. Collaborates with Company IT Architecture and Engineer teams
as they design Disaster Recovery solutions for infrastructure and applications to en sure Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) can be met. Key Lead when planning Disaster Recovery Exercises
and activity
participates to manage and assist with proactively planning with all stakeholders
to ensure all teams are ready and issues can be quickly worked through,
RTOs
and
RPOs
are met. Oversee and lead technical recovery training activities
and provide ongoing educational opportunities through
hands-on pre-exercise planning activities and hands-on recovery rehearsals . Develop maturity metrics : 1) measure the effectiveness of overall IT DR program solutions 2) evaluate the adequacy of TRPs developed for critical applications and recovery technology solutions and 3) assist with tracking program improvements year over year using the Service Now BC/DR Software Tool.
Desired Skills: Bachelor’s degree
or extensive
Disaster Recovery Documentation, Planning, and Exercises
experience. Hands-on experience
with
Service Now CMDB
or other
CMDB
to mind data from reports. 4 years
–
Hand-on Disaster Recovery and/or Business Continuity Exercise support experience . 5 years
or more working in a
large Enterprise Data Center Operations experience . Excellent skills
working with data from a CMDB to analyze servers
and application dependencies. Experience with
DR software planning tools and/or planning word documents
