Discontinued Operations Helper - Bisbee

Description

This position supports operations and/or maintenance in discontinued operations mine and processing areas in an industrial setting. Duties include housekeeping, security activities, water sampling, operation of processing/mobile equipment, and materials handling.

• Performs a variety of patrol, security and customer service duties.
• Performs water sampling activities for assigned site.
• Area housekeeping, which may include shoveling, hosing and digging.
• Operation of processing/mobile equipment.
• Material lifting/handling.
• Operation of hand/power tools.
• Equipment/facility maintenance.
• Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned according to business need.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• No work experience required
• Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude.  The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge, as well as safety.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current CDL License
• One (1) year of welding or fabricating experience
• Familiar with Bisbee operations

Criteria/Conditions:

• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
