JOB SUMMARY:

This position is under the direct supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager (Chef) and is located at The Stables Casino. 

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure compliance to standards set by management in scraping, racking, stacking, and washing of dishware, glassware, silverware, an all cooking pots, pans, and utensils
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and sanitary
• Perform any scheduled, assigned, or delegated duties in order to maintain restaurant cleanliness and assist in maintaining standards of health, safety, and sanitation
• Participate as a team member with Food Servers, Cooks, Supervisors, and all other employees in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of customer service
• Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed casino internal control policies and practices

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to follow direction regarding kitchen preparation, storage, and safety
• Performs other tasks and duties as directed

This position includes but is not limited to the job functions listed above.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must have one (1) to two (2) years related experience or training (preferred)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Modoc Nation Gaming License
• May be subject to criminal background investigation
• Must possess in high integrity regarding confidential and sensitive information
• Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Must have the ability to work in fast paced environment, multitask and meet deadlines

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:

• Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
• Performs all duties in accordance with the gaming operations core values, objectives of the Modoc Nation, system of internal control policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act.
