Position Overview

At Chick-fil-A City Gate, our Dishwasher plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. This position supports the Back of House team by ensuring all dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and food preparation tools are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use throughout the day.

Our Dishwashers help create an environment where the kitchen can operate efficiently, food safety standards are upheld, and team members have the tools they need to serve our guests with excellence.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, trays, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment according to Chick-fil-A safety and sanitation standards.

• Ensure all cleaned items meet cleanliness and sanitation requirements before being returned to service.

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the dish area, storage areas, and kitchen workspaces.

• Remove trash, cardboard, and recycling throughout the shift and assist with end-of-night disposal procedures.

• Support kitchen closing procedures, including deep cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas.

• Assist with basic food preparation and stocking tasks as needed.

• Monitor chemical, soap, and cleaning supply levels and communicate replenishment needs to leadership.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

• Work collaboratively with the Back of House team to support restaurant operations.

• Help maintain a positive, team-oriented environment focused on serving guests and supporting fellow team members.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work evening and closing shifts.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Positive attitude and willingness to serve others.

• Previous restaurant or dishwashing experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
