Job Summary: One of the state's first brew pubs, Federal Jack's is also the birthplace of Shipyard Brewing Company’s award winning-line of handcrafted ales. Located at 8 Western Ave in Kennebunk, this airy, seminal Maine tavern offers upscale grub & water views with its signature house-made ales. As Dishwasher, you will be responsible for ensuring your tasks are being completed as a constant flow and all saftey and sanitization standards are followed in our popular Pub. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a fast-paced kitchen, as well as the ability to work well under pressure. You will be an important part of a dedicated team who knows the importance of communication and willingness it takes to create the delicious food that we are known for.

Responsibilities:

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean dishes, glassware, and utensils


• Safely handle and wash delicate and large kitchen items


• Properly sort, stack, and store clean dishes for easy access by the kitchen staff


• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen stations


• Assist with maintaining overall cleanliness of the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and removing trash


• Adhere to health and safety standards, following proper sanitation procedures


• Collaborate with the kitchen team to support the flow of service and maintain a well-functioning kitchen environment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar role is a plus, but not required


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization


• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as needed


• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team


• Availability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
