Dispatch Manager

Position Summary
The Dispatch Manager is responsible for leading, tracking, and reporting on the day-to-day operations of the dispatch department. This role ensures that all dispatch activities are executed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with company goals. The Dispatch Manager analyzes performance metrics, identifies opportunities for improvement, and implements strategies that enhance operational effectiveness. Utilizing advanced dispatch software and fleet tracking technology, this position works to maximize productivity, optimize routing, and deliver exceptional service to both drivers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all dispatch, routing, and equipment tracking functions. 
• Manage and coach the dispatch team to ensure high productivity, operational accuracy, and customer satisfaction. 
• Plan, organize, and allocate work to meet operational needs and company standards. 
• Serve as the primary point of support for drivers and customers, ensuring timely communication and problem resolution. 
• Coordinate with sales, maintenance, and management teams to align resources, schedules, and operational priorities. 
• Communicate with customers to receive orders, schedule drivers, and ensure delivery commitments are met.
•  Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance goals.
   

• In-depth knowledge of transportation operations, with a strong emphasis on oilfield trucking. 
• Thorough understanding of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules. 
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) preferred. 
• Strong multitasking abilities and exceptional attention to detail. 
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, drivers, and internal teams. 
• Commitment to accuracy and data integrity in all operational processes. 
• Recent oilfield experience preferred.
