Job Description - Dispatch Operations Coordinator Savannah GA

Walthall Oil Company is a family owned business with over 70 years experience in the fuel and oil industry.  We strive for excellence in service and reliability.  We offer our employees a casual and comfortable atmosphere with great company benefits such as insurance, 401k, vacation and year-end bonuses.  We are currently looking for a Dispatch Operations Coordinator for our Savannah Division.

Job SummaryThe Operations Coordinator assists in the management of daily business logistics to ensure safe and efficient deliveries to customers. Operations Coordinators work closely with dispatchers, drivers, and managers to facilitate delivery and warehousing activities.  The Operations Coordinator must have an understanding of various aspects of business operations to support continued operations when personnel are out of the office. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer order creation
  • Fuel and Oil dispatching; leverage wireless monitoring to optimize dispatch routing
  • Familiarity with invoicing processes and procedures
  • Familiarity with procurement procedures
  • Communicate with customers to resolve issues related to order fulfilment
  • Answer phones and emails in support of dispatch operations
  • Assist with fuel and oil rack operations and inbound and outbound shipping and receiving
  • Drive Forklift
  • Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in customer service
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and email communication
  • Strong organization and task management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to drive a forklift
