Dispatcher

Job description

We are looking for a reliable Dispatcher to act as a communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls. You will receive requests, transmit messages, and track vehicles. The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.

• Excellent communication skills with customers, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, ownership, and co-workers
• Assist in assigning Technicians to work requests including repairs and Preventive Maintenance.
• Update customers through various portals to ensure they are fully informed of progress
• Create and update work orders to ensure Technicians have all the information they need to perform the scope of work assigned.
• Track and adjust schedules of Technicians based on need through GPS
• Create and issue purchase orders to Technicians
• Assist Service Manager with various tasks
• Reviewing paperwork from each service request for compliance prior to submitting to billing
• Qualifications and Skills
• 2-3 years’ experience in dispatch/customer service position
• Experience in trade industries, facilities management preferable but not required
• PC fluent including MS Office
• Typing minimum 20-30 wpm
• Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate skill sets such as organization, attention to detail, ability to handle pressure, task orientation, and foster interpersonal relationships.

 Qualifications and Skills:

• HVAC Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred)
• 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm with overtime as needed. 
• On Call every third weekend (extra incentive provided)
• Salary Position
• 100% in office position
• Dispatch for Northern California and Arizona states
• 15 technicians
• Great communication skills via email and with technicians
• Computer knowledge
