Dispatch Team Lead

👋 I’m Tommy, and I’m the CEO of A1 Garage Door. I’m glad you’re here. 

I started the company in 2007, and we have since grown to be the largest residential garage door service company in North America, operating in 40 markets+ across 20 states. 

The team lead provides guidance, support, training, coaching and assistance to the dispatch team while managing a small market of their own.

Responsibilities: (This list may not include all the duties assigned)

•Managing the day-to-day activities of the team

•Building relationships with our dispatchers to better understand what motivates them.

•Empowering team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.

•Host1 on 1 coaching sessions to maximize dispatchers’ potential.

•Routing and dispatching technicians to locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs.

•Work with Dispatch Manager to determine daily/weekly/monthly goals for dispatch team

•Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

•Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition.

•Efficient problem solving and outside the box thinking.

•Ability to motivate and inspire.

•Knowledge of dispatching

•Ability to multitask.

•Ability to coach and develop in a positive manner.

•Managing the dispatch board for cancellations and schedule changes.

Knowledge:

•Strong knowledge Computer systems and software

•Knowledge in google search, and Navigation systems is a plus

•Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, & Outlook

•Multi-tasking through systems and applications, accessing multiple tabs

Training Required:

•On-site training with Dispatch Manager

Working Conditions:

•Must be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer screen.

•Must be able to walk around and answer questions.

•Must be able to work various shifts during the hours of 4am-830pm M-F, 4am-8pm Sat, 430pm-6pm Sun.
