Jaguar Land Rover Los Angeles currently has an opening for a Dispatcher within our Service Department. The Dispatcher position is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the flow of service work through the Service Department in a professional, timely manner while ensuring quality repairs at a fair cost to customers.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate and assign work to service technicians based on availability, skill level, and job priority to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle service. 
  • Oversee distribution and upkeep of technician uniforms, including ordering and coordinating with uniform vendors. Maintains timely and professional contact with service customers. 
  • Schedule and monitor regular maintenance of service lifts in partnership with Pacific Lift or other approved vendors to ensure safety and compliance. 
  • Maintain accurate inventory of special tools and handle ordering of replacements or new tools as needed, ensuring all tools meet factory standards. 
  • Ensures proper repair order documentation, i.e., complaint, cause and correction noted on every repair order with punch time for each operation. 
  • Maintain the dealership’s Quality Control list and ensure required reporting is submitted to the factory per OEM guidelines. 
  • Review and process warranty and bounced claims through the Warp Portal, ensuring accuracy and compliance with manufacturer guidelines. 
  • Assist Advisors in reviewing warranty coverage on Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) and emissions-related repairs to confirm eligibility. 
  • Collaborate with the parts department on Quality Control (QC) cores to ensure proper handling, returns, and documentation. 
  • Maintain the shop's Celly Services requirements, including cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols. 
  • Manage documentation related to residual fluids such as oil and coolant to meet environmental and regulatory standards. 
  • Track and coordinate technician training progress and certifications through OEM Tech Excellence programs. 
  • Regularly review Service Daily Logs (SDLs) and Labor Repair Orders (LROs) with service management and technicians to ensure accuracy and completeness. 
  • Manage or assist with RVC (Remote Vehicle Communication) bypass procedures as required by service operations. 

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • At least two years’ experience in the automotive industry. 
  • Knowledge of automotive machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance; federal, state, and local regulations such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste; and mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages) and application. 
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.  
  • Coordinate activities with other employees; use good judgment in challenging situations. 
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language. 
  • Experience with using standard office equipment. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
