Are you a highly organized, multitasking professional with a Class A CDL and experience in dispatching? Independent Recycling Services looking for a Roll-Off Driver Dispatcher who thrives in a high-volume environment, excels at coordination and communication, and understands the importance of balancing operational efficiency with driver well-being.

As a Roll-Off Dispatcher, you will be the central link between our drivers, customers, and internal teams. You’ll schedule and assign loads, manage driver availability, and ensure that each route is optimized for cost-effectiveness, safety, and timeliness. This isn’t just about managing calls: it’s about managing relationships, priorities, and logistics in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional, supportive relationships with drivers.
• Schedule and assign loads and equipment effectively and efficiently.
• Optimize delivery routes by combining shipments based on timeline and geography.
• Provide live updates and manage daily activities in the dispatch system.
• Verify equipment availability in coordination with the shop.
• Communicate clearly and timely with drivers, customers, and the terminal manager.
• Maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude across all interactions.
• Monitor and support driver compliance with DOT and HOS (Hours of Service) regulations.
• Help schedule equipment for preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections.
• Accurately review and process driver paperwork.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Terminal Manager.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of dispatching experience (preferably in transportation or waste industry).
• Class A CDL required.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and HOS compliance.
• Proven ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using dispatch software and other logistical tools.
