Job Summary
Manages assigned trips for safe, efficient, effective, and professional transportation in conformance with company policies and contractual agreements. Manages scheduling of drivers and assigns drivers to pick-ups as needed. Ensures all trips are covered and properly completed, communicating with drivers via radio, phone, and electronic messages. Interacts with office personnel to provide courteous and excellent service to all clients.

Qualifications
· Must qualify to be added to commercial insurance
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a busy and challenging environment
· Good driving record with current valid driver’s license
· Minimum of 2 years transportation dispatch experience
· Knowledge of laws, codes, policies, and airport pick-up/drop-off locations
· Computer savvy
· Ability to maintain calm, professional demeanor in a stressful environment
· Agility to multi-task effectively
· Map reading and comprehension skills
· Strong leadership skills
· Able to give, receive and follow written/oral instructions
Supervision
Works a 40 hour work week schedule as assigned, directly under the supervision of the Operations Manager and Dispatch Manager. Any additional hours or schedule changes must be approved by Phillip Houston or Darrell Anderson. Office Staff should be aware of schedules and changes. Dispatchers must be able to work flexible hours on any assigned days of the week, and are expected to report to work on time and stay until the assigned shift is over.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Answer and manage heavy call volume
· Coordinate and facilitate the development and assignments of routes. Monitors and evaluates assigned trips, miscellaneous requirements and requests of the clients
· Input reservations as needed; including new reservations, faxes & emails (extras)
· Assign drivers to airline trips, medical runs, and charters as needed
· Serve as liaison between drivers and clients
· Track movement of vehicles/drivers
· Communicate and update ride status of in house reservations/outsourced rides ( i.e., dispatched, confirmed, on location, passenger on board, and drop time)
· Quality control of reservations for next day (errors, stops, services, additional passengers, special instructions important to driver/dispatch/client, etc)
· Complete daily Dispatch Reports
· Transition incoming dispatcher into next shift to continue a smooth operation
· Inform management of all issues pertaining to dispatchers being able to effectively fulfill duties and responsibilities
· Communicate effectively with airline crew personnel
· Contact drivers 2 hours prior to assigned trips
· Check charter trips at the beginning of each shift
· Record driver time and sign off on time sheets
· Print and distribute manifests as needed
· Acts as the first point of contact in providing assistance with resolving issues related to transportation
· Provides information on road conditions and construction sites to drivers, with the ability to reroute drivers and provide clear directions/instructions
· Assist in creating and maintaining a positive customer service culture that assure the operation is sensitive and responsive to the needs of clients
· Attends all dispatch meetings, trainings, and workshops
· Performs any and all duties as assigned by supervisors
· Drive in emergency situations as needed
