Dispatcher - Wichita, KS

Star Lumber & Supply Co., Inc. delivers confidence through our products and our people. We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our Building Materials Transportation Team.

The dispatcher is at the helm of our delivery operation, working as a liaison between the sales and operations staff. This role is in charge of organizing all daily deliveries and pick up returns out of our main McCormick Distribution Yard.

Responsibilities of the Dispatcher

· Work through daily delivery schedule and route trucks

· Answer driver, customer, and sales delivery questions

· Assist with managing the fleet maintenance records

· Verify Driver Logs

· Collaborate with sales and operations

Candidate Requirements

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-based environment

· Aptitude to think critically and problem solve

· Proficient in various software applications including Microsoft Office

· Must be at least 18 years old

· Available to work during operating hours Monday – Friday 7a-5p 

Preferred Experience

· Has or willing to obtain a valid Class A/B CDL

· Geographical knowledge of the Wichita Metro Area

· Knowledge of building materials

· Proficient in BisTrack, WMS

· Forklift/Donkey/Moffett Experience
