Distinguished Engineer, Applied ML for OS and App development productivity

Apple is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join their team, which is dedicated to integrating the latest machine learning techniques into software development. The role involves developing innovative machine learning tools and frameworks to transform the way software development is done at Apple and beyond. Candidates should have a deep understanding of state -of -the -art deep neural network (DNN) acceleration architectures and their performance tradeoffs. They should also possess strong programming skills using ML tools such as Python, PyTorch, Tensorflow, CUDA, Metal, and C/C++. The role requires at least 10 years of tech lead software engineering/ML experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to guide technical leads, establish core execution teams, and define technical roadmaps. The position aims to accelerate OS and app development while ensuring user privacy, performance, and power efficiency. The candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of software development at Apple and will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of scientists and engineers.
