Job Description - Distribution and Logistics Manager
Stanley/Stella is launching to the USA with a new warehouse in Fontana, CA. This will help us delivering a first class service to our customers across the country, with a focus on West Coast initially.
The Distribution and Logistics Manager will report to the US - COO and will be responsible to setup the new warehouse in 2025 in close collaboration with the 3PL and to setup the logistics operations. After the initial phase is complete, the Logistics Manager is expected to monitor the performance of our partners (Warehousing & Transport), solve daily issues while working on continuous improvement of our service in close collaboration with the customer care department and the sales department.
Setup the Warehousing operations (operated by a 3PL): preparation of the areas dedicated to Stanley/Stella, alignment on the ways of working with the 3PL, including KPIs tracking & monitoring, daily, weekly & monthly interactions.
Setup the domestic logistics operations, including the negotiations with our future partners.
Work in close collaboration with our IT department to integrate our systems (ERP) with the new 3PL platform (WMS).
Manage the warehousing and shipping activities to ensure the best customer experience at the right cost.
Maintain metrics, analyze data, provide KPI reports to assess the performance of our partners.
Support business growth, stay very close to the market and our key customers to work on ways to improve our service and transform logistics into a competitive advantage
Keep track of quality & quantity of the full order cycle, stock levels, Inbound & outbound activities and delivery times, including long-term forecasts
Liaise and negotiate with logistics providers and ensure adequate communication is in place with our main stakeholders and customers
Responsible for the logistics budget
Resolve in collaboration with the Logistics Coordinator and Customer Care Team arising problems or complaints
2+ years of experience managing distribution centers or 3PL’s
5+ years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or 10 + years of relevant experience
Proven track record of 2 + years in a relevant leadership role
Proven successful experience in challenging & domestic logistics environment
Knowledge of the consumer goods industry preferably within a Retail Fashion brand or B2B Environment (e-commerce experience is a plus).
