Overview:
We seek an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced shipping and receiving environment. Distribution Assistants help maintain accurate levels of raw materials, work in process, packaging, and finished goods, and are directly responsible for optimal and efficient material flow and ensuring the accuracy of each material shipment, with ZERO shipping defects. Distribution Assistants are required to operate a forklift, computers, and handheld scanners.

Shift Schedule:
Monday - Friday 6 am to 2 pm
Occasional Overtime
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-process, packaging, and finished goods, ensuring accuracy in all inbound and outbound shipments.
Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and handheld scanners, safely and efficiently.
Load and unload multiple trailers daily using a forklift.
Receive, verify, process, scan, and store incoming deliveries, ensuring 100% accuracy against packing slips and noting discrepancies before signing and placing them in designated warehouse areas.
Access customer portals and maintain material files using computer systems.
Coordinate outgoing shipments, prepare required paperwork, and ensure proper labeling of all materials, including partial raw material gaylords and regrind.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and distribution of all shipping and receiving paperwork.
Support periodic inventory efforts, including cycle counts.
Follow verbal and written instructions effectively and communicate clearly with team member.s
Reinforce and adhere to safe work practices, company policies, and procedures.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Foster cooperative working relationships with team members.
Assist production with material handling or machine operation as needed
Perform other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
High School or GED completion preferred.
Knowledge of warehousing, distribution, and material handling equipment experience preferred.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently.
Basic math and computer skills required.
Maintain strong attendance and a safe work record.
