We are currently seeking a Full-Time Distribution Center Specialist and Mechanical Equipment Assembler who shares our passion for excellence and innovation. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and shop facility, contributing to the success of AWC and exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities:



  • Oversee organization of the warehouse facility, including pick, pack, shipping/receiving, put-away, cycle count, accuracy, handling, and delivery of inventory.

  • Unload incoming shipments, including motor freight and UPS, and handle stock put ups and slotting locations.

  • Process UPS shipments, including packing, weighing, and processing.

  • Print delivery tickets, fulfill orders, and verify Purchase Order Notes/ Pull Material.

  • Create Bills of Lading for Motor Freight Shipments and arrange for pick-up or loading.

  • Coordinate and document "Will Calls" with customers.

  • Manage warehouse stock and maintain basic housekeeping standards.

  • Participate in Mandatory Quarterly Inventory Counts and verify Purchase Orders and sales orders within our system.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assembling automated valves and instrumentation set-up and testing.


Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience operating forklifts and ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

  • 3-5 years of experience within a warehouse or distribution center environment.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and previous experience using basic shop tools.

  • Ability to work safely, meet productivity standards, and adhere to quality standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Maintaining regular attendance and punctuality is a must. Position will be from 7 am to 4 pm, Mon. through Fri. with the possibility of workload requiring earlier or later attendance.

  • Self-motivated with a sense of urgency, willing to work extended hours as needed. Punctuality and meeting attendance requirements is a must.

  • Ability to be on call on a rotational schedule
