A Distribution Operations Control Operator II is an experienced professional with working knowledge of electric distribution control system operations principles, practices, concepts, and theories. Executes distribution switching orders and independently performs switching analysis. Monitors & operates the distribution SCADA system. Gathers and analyzes data to determine location and cause of power outages. Efficiently dispatches first response personnel and repair crews to provide quick and logical response to outages and emergency situations. Schedule and manage non-emergency customer requested work in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure superior customer service. Provide accurate and timely information to other departments. Perform overtime callouts to emergency response teams

Compliant with safety rules, procedures & regulations, performs regular safety observations, and actively participates in group safety meetings.
Monitor the electric distribution and SCADA systems for outages and emergencies
With minimal oversight from senior team members, executes switching orders and dispatches orders to field personnel.
Use ADMS system to troubleshoot system issues to dispatch personnel effectively to reduce unnecessary truck roles.
Dispatch emergency orders in a timely manner.
Provide notifications to the appropriate internal groups about customer outages and system operations.
Be available for callout/emergencies based on forecasted weather conditions to assist with the additional workload due to increased outages.
Able to work 7 days on 7 days off shift schedule with 12-hour shifts that include night shifts and holidays on a rotating basis.
Good attendance record, including being on time for regular and scheduled work is .
Effectively communicate with other departments to efficiently relay pertinent information relating to outages, emergencies, customer issues, switching, etc.
Reporting of system status, issues and changes internally and externally
Works under continuous supervision and escalate issues to DOC supervision as needed.
Provide status updates to DOC supervision on daily activities.
Qualifications
Required Education, Skills & Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
0-3+ years of related experience
Business acumen pertaining to the Utility industry
Knowledge of leading practices for their practice area
Planning and project management skills
Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job
Proficient at functioning effectively within a team environment, present ideas and opinions in a respective and collegial manner
