Job Description - Distribution Scheduler

The Distribution Scheduler is responsible for generating all JBR and JLB picklists for the Streamwood and Valdosta sites and ensuring all orders begin the distribution process as soon as they become shippable. This role also involves monitoring and validating commitments and shortages, setting priorities for the shipping team, and projecting weekly ship dollars based on available materials.

Individual MUST be willing to come into the office 5-days a week.

Responsibilities:

·         Perform all centralized freight planning functions and picklist generation for Roselle and Valdosta JBR orders.

·         Future absorption of freight planning and picklist generation for JLB orders.

·         Ensure all orders begin distribution as soon as inventory is available.

·         Validate system-generated shortages and inventory commitment discrepancies.

·         Prepare a daily hot order priority list for the distribution team for past due and same-day shippable orders.

·         Monitor aging and unclosed orders in the warehouse.

·         Assist the distribution team in troubleshooting and closing shipments with system errors.

·         Prepare a weekly shipment dollar projection based on up-to-date shortages and shipping constraints.

·         Assist the Supply Chain Planning Manager in ad hoc data analysis projects.

·         Additional duties as assigned.

Compensation is $28.00+/hr. depending on experience

·         High school diploma or equivalent desired

·         1-2 years of related applicable experience

·         Infor LN Knowledge desired

·         Telephone skills / verbal communication – ability to communicate effective to a variety of audiences

·         Effective organizational and interpersonal skills

·         Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills; ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities

·         Possess a strong customer focus

·         Intermediate to advanced abilities for using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and company ERP software (LN)

·         Ability to work independently
