Distribution Team Member

The full-time Distribution Team Member will have responsibility for assigned warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling orders and delivery. This position will work an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday

Major Duties:

· Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety codes.

· Assist Distribution Manager with the following tasks:

o Receive trucks and unload merchandise.

o Check-in merchandise and affix labels.

o Match purchase orders to sales orders.

o Deliver excellent customer service and provide a positive experience with each interaction with customers.

o Assist with fulfilling customer orders.

o Move materials off racks and package for shipment.

o Place merchandise on pallets or shelves for distribution

o Record amounts of materials or items received.

o Sort material according to size, type, style, color, and/or product code

· Valid Driver's License is required and must be insurable.

· Ability to achieve forklift certification upon hire.

· Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background check, drug screen and a Physical Capabilities Profile assessment.

· Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

· Ability to work independently with attention to detail.

· Ability to carry out assigned tasks.

Physical Demands:

· Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

· Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawl.

· Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.

· Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 55 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

• Normal office environment, but may be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)
• Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing at computer screen.
• Occasional activity: Standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling.
• This position works in a warehouse setting with some exposure to the outdoors and variable temperatures.
• Routinely uses standards office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as automated equipment, box cutters, pallet jacks, and tape dispensers.
