DISTRIBUTION TECHNICIAN

Description

Position Summary

The Distribution Tech stocks, issues, and delivers equipment, material, supplies, etc., and compiles stock records in storeroom. The person in this position may also be assigned miscellaneous duties as deemed appropriate and as assigned by supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Stocks supplies on shelves, according to identifying information such as catalog
number

2. Examines stock periodically to verify dating

3. Fills requisitions by issuing supplies from stock

4. Stocking all Latex-Free and Isolation Carts.

5. Responsible for preparing Suction Set-up Kits

6. Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments

7. Performs other duties as deemed appropriate and as assigned.

8. Ensures that all chargeable items have charge stickers before items are delivered to the appropriate department.

1. Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

2. Write simple correspondence.

3. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates.

4. Add, subtract multiply, and divide units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

5. Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

6. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

7. Use appropriate discretion in handling confidential material and information.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

2. One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
