Job Description - Distributor Sales Representative

Eaton\u2019s North American Sales division is currently seeking a Distributor Sales Representative to join its team. This role can be based at either our Chandler, AZ or Las Vegas, NV location and will focus on Power Distribution products. This exciting opportunity provides direct responsibility for increasing local market sales through assigned distributors and delivering sales and technical assistance. It also provides hands-on ownership of distributor training, product promotion administration, and inventory management support.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe primary function of Distributor Sales Representative is to manage the assigned customer base to increase sales in the local marketplace and provide sales and technical assistance to distributors and internal personnel. This position will be responsible for directly interfacing with assigned distributors by providing a variety of sales support and administrative services in inventory management. \n\nIn this function you will:\n\n\u2022 Identify and coordinate training needs, product promotion administration, product and price information as well as problem resolution in order to optimize Eaton electrical penetration and sales\n\n\u2022 Provide customer support in the areas of product capabilities, claims and billing adjustments\n\n\u2022 Achieve sales goals and executing sales plans within an assigned sales territory and/or accounts\n\n\u2022 Utilize established co-worker relationships with plants to accomplish the strategic plan\n\n\u2022 Support total quality efforts by providing timely and accurate information for order entry, elevating quality issues to attention of management\n\n\u2022 Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preference and buying habits\n\n\u2022 Interface with assigned distributors by providing a variety of sales support and administrative services in inventory management\n\n\u2022 Train distributors on new products, e-commerce and Eaton processes while evaluating distributor training needs\n\n\u2022 Conduct local training and/or assisting in registration for Eaton University classes\n\n\u2022 Manage and leverage commitments/co-op program while maintaining or creating a point of purchase for distributor counter areas\n\n\u2022 Train distributors on how to use internal programs such as Vista, Bidmanager and the Commitments program\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution \n\u2022Minimum one (1) year of sales, sales support or marketing experience within the electrical industry \n\u2022Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver\u2019s license \n\u2022No relocation assistance will be provided for this role. Candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of either Chandler, AZ or Las Vegas, NV. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation \n\u2022Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. \n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Strong electrical industry and product knowledge \n\u2022 Distribution knowledge and/or experience \n\u2022 Strong product line knowledge \n\u2022 Strong key channel relationships and demonstrates knowledge of major accounts within the sales territory \n\u2022 Understands sales process and channel relationships with limited internal oversight\n\nThe compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $84,750 - $124,300.\n\nBase salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
