Ability to explain and interpret information to clients/customers and staff. Having considerable knowledge of program policies, procedures, and information systems to communicate and process information.

Ability to utilize office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet organizational needs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions.
Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively in both written and verbal form; ability to adjust language or terminology to meet the needs of the audience; ability to use correct grammar, organization, and structure.

Typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, 40 hours a week.
About the Division of Community Supervision (DCS):
The Division of Community Supervision (DCS) is responsible for overseeing the supervision of adult offenders on probation, parole, or post-release. The DCS mission is to ensure public safety while helping offenders make positive changes and successfully complete their supervision. DCS collaborates closely with the NC Post-Release Supervision and Parole Commission, the court system, as well as other state agencies, and community partners, particularly those addressing mental health, substance use, and re-entry issues faced by our returning citizens. DCS is also responsible for the supervision of offenders who transfer from other states through the Interstate Compact program and has oversight of the Community Service Work Program.

Veterans’ and National Guard Preference
