Eaton\u2019s ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a District Project Manager. This is a hybrid-based position and candidates must reside within 50 miles of our Chanhassen, MN location to be considered for this role. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nPosition Overview: \nResponsibilities of the position are to manage the technical aspects of medium-sized electrical assembly project orders by meeting customer specifications and timelines for product, documentation and quality. The Field Sales Project Manager will be heavily involved in both the technical (electrical/mechanical) details of major project orders as well as effectively manage the timelines of deliverables for his/her project orders. This position will work independently on daily tasks, and as part of the field sales team and will need to leverage centralized resources to manage documentation and commercial requirements. The goal is to create value and establish the project order management process as a key differentiator from our competitors while improving the financial position for Eaton and the customer.\n\nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Manage the assigned project orders to create value and improve the financial position for Eaton and our customers \n\u2022 Organize and lead order transition meetings with field sales, project coordinators and manufacturing facilities for all assigned projects \n\u2022 Review of project specifications, contracts and order specifics with SE prior to order entry to ensure technical accuracy \n\u2022 Manage and coordinate technical changes to the bill of material \n\u2022 Leverage centralized resources for the creation of documentation packages and perform reviews of these packages as appropriate \n\u2022 Provide technical support and follow through on warranty issues \n\u2022 Represent sales at customer witness tests, inspections, and on-board approval meetings/visits \n\u2022 Ensure that accurate information flows to and from the customer in a proactive way \n\u2022 Capture and document discrepancies/issues \n\u2022 Establish communication protocol with customers during kickoff meetings \n\u2022 Establish central repository file for each project on shared drive \n\u2022 Work with EatonCare/plants for CA\u2019s/submittals \n\u2022 Work with SE on scope changes (pricing, spec discrepancies) not associated with submittal review \n\u2022 Use OSR to track estimated ship date and communicate changes to the customer in a timely manner\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution \n\u2022 Minimum three (3) years of electrical industry experience \n\u2022 Possess a valid driver\u2019s license \n\u2022 No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Chanhassen, MN will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business or Engineering\n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Success Criteria:\n\n\u2022 Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future \n\u2022 Time management, presentation and planning skills \n\u2022 Knowledge of Eaton electrical product and service capabilities \n\u2022 Possess an understanding of the sales process using sales techniques as evidenced by good customer relationships \n\u2022 Knowledge of Bidmanager, SAP and Vista \n\u2022 Demonstrated an understanding of market trends, industry issues and knowledge of competitors \n\u2022 Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills \n\u2022 Ability to leverage support personnel to meet customer and organizational needs \n\u2022 Ability to travel up to 25%\n\nThe compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive.
