Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a District Support Engineer in El Paso, TX. Relocation assistance is provided for this role. Field Service roles offer company car and guaranteed 40-hour paid week.\u200b\n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nAs a District Support Representative, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, including field service manpower, engineering, and sales support for the operation. You will assist in managing the District\u2019s job schedule and backlog, including preparation of job plans, budgets, schedules, personnel requirements and/or other tasks as required. You will assist the District Manager and Coordinator in developing short term business financial forecasts, developing and implementing the annual profit plan, and developing cost estimates for proposals and writing negotiations. \n\n\nIn this role, you will:\n\n\u2022 Provide technical support for Field Service Representatives and Operations Coordinators as they execute jobs. \n\u2022 Provide timely, detailed and accurate reports on service work performed, product performance, and warranty liabilities to company expense and time allocation. \n\u2022 Maintain all service equipment including all test equipment, tools issued to meet specifications including EBE, ISO requirements, etc. in good working condition and maintain sufficient inventory to respond to standard calls. \n\u2022 Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, support Sales with initial and follow-up quotations for customers, interface and coordinate with other plants and business units within the company and outside vendors to procure parts and services for the district. Provide customers basic applications information via phone or on-site consultation and be available for 24-hour x 7 days a week on call duty and respond to emergency situations with minimal notification. \n\u2022 Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, authorized service shops, other service organizations, and product business units to assure customer satisfaction. \n\u2022 Demonstrate safety consciousness in equipment handling, electrical and electronic procedures, and the unique situations encountered at diverse work sites \n\u2022 Successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton\u2019s safety program and policy; This includes role-applicable portions of the EESS Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) program and any required annual re-certifications thereafter\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications: \n\u2022 High School Diploma/GED or higher with a minimum of 5 years of field service experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution and control systems, or in lieu of HS diploma or GED, completion of accredited trade school and/or program completion with 9 or more years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems \n\u2022 Must possess and maintain a valid driver\u2019s license \n\u2022 Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical or engineering technology) \n\u2022 5+ years leading and managing large service engineering projects of complex scope \n\u2022 Strong technical knowledge and understanding of the Electrical and EESS industry, products and solutions. \n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Strong organizational, project, time and task management skills, with use of personal computers and software systems to manage and track numerous priorities. \n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer relationships and resolve complaints. \n\u2022 Demonstrates financial and commercial knowledge. \n\u2022 Strength in leadership and coaching/mentoring of both field and office personnel \n\u2022 Strong technical knowledge and understanding of the Electrical and EESS industry, products and solutions. \n\u2022 Working knowledge of the overall sales function, customer channels to market, and negotiation techniques and must be able to assist in the generation of proposals and negotiations. \n\u2022 Must submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings \n\u2022 This position requires you to drive an Eaton vehicle \n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
