WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Dive Technician will perform basic analysis of Diving Life Support System (DLSS) supporting a government customer in San Antonio, TX. Additional places of performance will include travel to: Hawaii, Alabama and other locations determined by the Contracting Office. Travel frequency shall be determined by operational requirements and coordinated through the Contracting Officer's Representative.

The Diver will be responsible for problem identification and information gathering as required by the customer. They will provide Course of Action (COA) development and recommendations and must be able to read and interpret technical documents (e.g., schematics, technical data packages, blueprints). Must perform all other duties listed in the performance work statement. Required knowledge areas are the following:

Dive Systems & Policies:

• SS521-AA-MAN-10 (Hyperbaric Safety Certification Manual)
• SS521-AG-PRO-010 (US Navy Diving Manual)
• MCO 3150.4 series (Marine Corps Diving Policy)

Marine Corps Maintenance & Logistics:

• TI 4220-OI series (USMC Maintenance & Accountability)
• Familiarity with MARCORSYSCOM dive department protocols

Required PQS Certifications (minimum 4 years qualified):

• NAVEDTRA 43241 (301-307): Maintenance, RPPO, WCS, Division Officer, 3MC
• NAVEDTRA 43910: MK25 Tech, DLSS Tech/O2/Operator, Chamber/SNDL/TRC Ops, Re-entry Control Supervisor

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 6 years Navy/USMC diving experience
• Preferred: 3 years as U.S. Navy First Class Diver (M1DV)
• DLSS maintenance and MK25 combat diving operations experience required.
• Minimum of 6 years as a dive-qualified Reconnaissance Marine
• Preferred: experience with maintenance of diving equipment and ancillary gear.
• Minimum of 4 years as a Marine/Navy Dive Supervisor
• Must hold or be able to obtain certifications:
• MK25 Closed Circuit Technician
• DLSS Technician/O2 Worker/Operator
• Chamber Operator experience

Skill Requirements:

• Software:
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
• At least 1 year of experience with GCSS-MC (Oracle-based).
• Military Familiarity:
• Must understand U.S. military ranks, customs, and courtesies.
• Must have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a Background Check.
• Must have or be eligible for a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with:
• Marine Forces Reserve (MFR)
• HQMC, Combatant Dive School, and Naval Safety Center relationships
• Reconnaissance or Naval Special Warfare diving elements
• Understanding of reconnaissance dive team employment for training/readiness planning
