Job Description

We are expanding our global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) team and seeking a passionate DEI Specialist to strengthen our local presence in the Americas. In this Specialist role, you will play a central part in driving DEI initiatives both globally and regionally. You will ensure our colleagues’ needs are understood and addressed, and contribute to a truly inclusive and equitable culture. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our central DEI strategy and act as a bridge to local implementation in a high visibility area that is a strategic priority for our company.

This role is open in our Boston, Chicago and Detroit offices on a hybrid model reporting to the Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in DEI program management in HR, recruiting or professional development preferably in a management consulting firm or other professional services environment
  • Experience supporting or contributing to the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives that have supported business objectives
  • Good understanding of the relevant anti-discrimination laws and other DEI related policies in the Americas
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and forward-thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage or support multiple detailed projects (budget management experience is a plus but not mandatory)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across a range of individuals throughout the firm
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong cultural awareness

Job Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) team, develop, foster and support the Global DEI initiatives of Roland Berger and align regional efforts with the broader organizational strategy
  • Coordinate locally and facilitate day-to-day collaboration with departments in the Americas, project plans and timelines for assigned initiatives, providing regular updates to the Global Manager of DEI and other stakeholders
  • Support affinity group operations and programming, providing oversight on strategic planning, annual budgets, and collaborative programming
  • Engage with and support the professional development and effective inclusion of diverse talent throughout the company
  • Support recruiting, retention, training, and talent development initiatives to  advance DEI  and create fair, inclusive processes
  • Assist with the collection, analysis, and preparation of DEI-related metrics and statistical information for firmwide reports, RFPs, surveys, committee meetings, and other requests
  • Develop data-driven recommendations to drive organizational improvements
  • Build partnerships with external organizations to strengthen community engagement
  • Help prepare and track the budget for DEI related activities within the region
  • Work closely with stakeholders on the planning and coordination of internal and external events, workshops, programs, meetings, and campaigns
  • Staying updated on the latest trends, benchmarking, and best practices in DEI and sharing insights and recommendations with the organization
  • Help manage the curation and consistent maintenance of DEI-related content across firm communication channels, including the intranet, newsletters, and external website, ensuring consistency and clarity of messaging

The estimated base salary for this role is $80,000 - $90,000. This estimate reflects the best estimate at the time of this posting, and does not guarantee any specific salary for this position. It is important to note that at Roland Berger, individual salaries are determined on a case-by-case basis based on experience, education, office location, start date and organizational needs. Roland Berger will review your performance at least annually and may adjust your salary in its sole discretion 

This role is eligible for additional compensation, and is eligible for an annual bonus.
