Job Description - Division Manager

Division Manager


Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Division Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading our maintenance division, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in all operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of pavement maintenance processes.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead safety initiatives by ensuring proper use of PPE, conducting JSA’s, and conducting pre and post-shift equipment inspections.

  • Mentor and support superintendents in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities.

  • Attend scheduling meetings prepared with job information and maintain a 2-week look ahead schedule.

  • Coordinate crew schedules using crew scheduling software and liaise with salesmen, customers, and subcontractors as needed.

  • Mentor crew members to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Act as the liaison with customers regarding maintenance work scope and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Manage maintenance jobs with accountability for safety, financial performance, and quality.

  • Utilize B2W track to effectively manage job performance and ensure project success.

  • Provide support and training on B2W field log operation to supervisors and foremen.

  • Attend preconstruction meetings and assist salesmen with scoping work for accurate job estimation.

  • Track job material overruns and ensure accurate billing for materials used.

  • Collaborate with scheduling.

  • Maintain inventory.

  • Monitor equipment location, repair status, and coordinate repairs as needed.

  • Track reasons for rework/warranty and associated costs to identify areas for improvement.

  • Conduct employee evaluations a minimum of annually.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the management team.


 



  • Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pavement maintenance or related field.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate team members.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications.

  • Knowledge of pavement maintenance processes and best practices.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

  •
