Description

Position Summary:

The Divy’s Lead will be responsible for supporting the Divy’s Assistant Manager with the day-to-day operations of the department.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Creating a "guest ready" atmosphere at the service counter and throughout the 3rd floor Commons Area.
  • Assist in the daily opening and closing tasks – scheduled and as needed.
  • Support the needs of guests on the 3rd floor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the Grab and Go, this will include cleaning and maintenance that aligns with Museum and Snohomish County Health Department standards.
  • Ensures all food areas are clean and have proper displays and merchandise.
  • Executes all security, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Helps holds team accountable to steps of service to deliver great guest service.
  • Ensures show quality standards are maintained at all times.
  • Responds and assists in any departmental guest service issues.
  • Helps achieve daily sales and cost goals.
  • Helps achieve budget goals.
  • Executes required daily reporting in a timely manner.
  • Helps ensure proper cash handling procedures are being performed.
  • Ensures assigned areas are fully stocked and are ready for operation.
  • Other responsibilities, as needed.

Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • A friendly and outgoing personality that thrives in an active and vibrant work environment.
  • Comfortable working with active children and families and redirecting behavior as necessary.
  • Attention to detail, particularly regarding health and safety standards and expectations.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Comfortable using a POS system and basic cash handling.
  • Adaptable to multi-tasking between the kitchen, service counter and Commons area.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to direct volunteers when needed.
  • Possess initiative and the ability to self-direct, not requiring continuous supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and assigned tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work on special events after hours.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commitment to Imagine Children’s Museum Core Values.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Customer service experience desired
  • Food service experience preferred.
  • Current Washington State Food Handlers Card (Imagine will provide access to state training, if needed)

  • High level of public contact.
  • Regularly required to stand and walk for long periods, climb ladders and stairs.
  • Occasionally lift and or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Speak and hear sufficiently to communicate clearly in person and in small groups.
  • Ability to bend, carry, reach to the side, front and overhead, push, pull, walk, stand, twist and squat, grab, and squeeze are repetitive motions required of the position.
  • Regularly exposed to moderate noise in and around the Grab and Go Kitchen and service counter.
  • Occasionally exposed to small and/or enclosed spaces.

This is a full-time position, onsite in Everett. The pay is $21.00 an hour. Must be available to work Wednesdays and Sundays.
