(DME) Medical Biller

Ward Road Pharmacy is a locally owned pharmacy and DME provider serving patients across Colorado. We specialize in long-term care, I/DD, and home health populations with a full range of pharmacy and durable medical equipment services. Our team works closely with patients, caregivers, and providers to ensure timely access to essential medical supplies.

We are seeking a DME Medical Biller to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with DME billing, preferably in Brightree or similar billing systems, and familiarity with HCPCS codes and payer guidelines. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate claim submission, timely reimbursement, and compliance with payer

Key Responsibilities

· Submit and follow up on claims to Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurers for DME/HME services.

· Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for new and existing patients.

· Review, correct, and resubmit denied or rejected claims.

· Accurately apply HCPCS codes and modifiers according to payer guidelines.

· Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (Medicaid, Medicare, HIPAA, etc.).

· Communicate with patients, caregivers, and providers regarding billing inquiries.

· Collaborate with intake and delivery teams to ensure documentation supports billing requirements.

· Generate and review monthly aging reports, working to reduce outstanding balances.

· 2+ years of medical billing experience (DME/HME strongly preferred).

· Experience with Brightree or other DME billing software preferred.

· Strong knowledge of HCPCS codes, modifiers, and payer requirements.

· Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare DMEPOS rules.

· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and follow-up skills.

· Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
