About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DMV Clerk to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will have prior automotive dealership experience and strong working knowledge of CDK. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all vehicle transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with state DMV regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process all new and used vehicle registrations in a timely manner


• Submit legal transfer documents to the DMV


• Verify costs for registration, licensing, and title fees


• Prepare and submit all DMV paperwork accurately and efficiently


• Maintain and reconcile DMV schedules


• Issue and track license plates, registration, and stickers


• Communicate with sales and finance departments to ensure complete and accurate deal paperwork


• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations


• Handle corrections, rejections, and follow-ups with DMV as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of dealership DMV experience required


• CDK experience is preferred


• Strong knowledge of DMV regulations and title processing


• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills


• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment


• Excellent communication skills

Compensation: Starting at $28–$35 per hour, with higher earning potential for candidates with extensive dealership and CDK experience.
