Dock Associate - Urgent Position

Volt is immediately hiring for a Dock Associate in Lansing, MI

As a Dock Associate, you will:

• Has a positive attitude and provides courteous, friendly service to all internal team member and external customers, by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries and requests.
  
• Knowledge of warehouse layout to access products and warehouse contents in efficient and timely manner.
  
• Loads and unload freight using suitable material – handling equipment safely and efficiently. Utilize RF scanner to allow package tracking to ensure on time, error free delivery.
  
• Maintain accuracy when sorting out packages based on customer and delivery routes.
  
• Safeguard cross dock operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures and protocols.
  
• Ensures dock areas are clean and free of debris to prevent accidents and injuries.
  
• Conducts daily inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local and internal laws, regulations, and policies.
  
• Collaborate with other warehouse team members throughout dock to ensure continuously improving best practices and optimization of freight related arrangements.
  
• Protects company assets and confidential information in accordance with company policies and procedures. Including, but not limited to, candidates, team members, customers, vendors, and proprietary company information. This is a FULL Time opportunity.

Schedule:
8:00 pm – 4:00 am
Must attend site tour prior - held at 8:30pm to tour the facility and meet the manager
The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  
• Proven successful experience as a dock/warehouse team member.
  
• Able to lift 50 lbs
  
• Able to stand 8 hours a day
  

Pay Rate: 16.00/Hourly

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
