Snug Harbor is a sale and full-service marina that has been servicing, maintaining, and storing boats on Chautauqua Lake for over 25 years. Since most of our customers are vacationers, our goal is to provide the highest level of service we can, and to ensure that every customer feels their specific needs have been met.

Work Hours/Days

• Seasonal fulltime position, March thru October

• Hours: Monday - Sunday 8:30am-5:00pm

• Schedule to be discussed upon hire.

Responsibilities and Duties

A Dock Hand reports directly to management and plays a vital role in the efficiency and safety of marina operations. A Dock Hand is a customer facing position, professionalism is always required. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Present a professional and groomed appearance


• Greet guests in a friendly, upbeat, courteous, and professional manner.


• Be flexible and a team player when working with other company departments.


• Operate and maintain shop truck, tractors, and forklifts


• Launching, pulling, and piloting of various watercraft


• Watercraft pick-up and delivery


• Assisting the Service Department when needed


• Assist the Detail Department when needed


• Maintain an elevated level of safety in all aspects of the job

Qualifications and Skills

• Positive, motivated, friendly attitude


• Self-starter who can work independently as well as with the team


• Mechanical skills a plus


• Moving and parking trailers a plus


• Operating a tractor or skid steer a plus


• Operating a boat on water a plus


• Valid Driver’s license
