Job Description - Dock Manager

Purpose:   Manage all aspects of product flow to include receipt and delivery of donations. Coordinate internal product flow with 3rd floor managers. To be a mentor, by example, to Aftercare Program students with whom manager is working and to follow Christ’s example of being a servant leader.


 


Qualifications:



  • Supervisory experience of at least 3 years.

  • Good people and customer skills

  • Good organization skills

  • Ability to be creative

  • Ability to be decisive

  • Good balance of grace and truth

  • Valid driver’s license and current DOT medical card

  • Willing to adhere to Jubilee’s Mission Statement, Core Values, Statement of Faith, Position Statements, and Employee Code of Conduct


 


Working Conditions/Physical Factors: Occasionally= 1-33% Frequently= 34-66% Continuously= 67%-100%



  • Standing/Walking- Continuously

  • Lifting (under 25lbs)- Frequently

  • Lifting (over 25lbs)- Occasionally

  • Use of Pallet Jack- Frequently

  • Sitting/Working at Computer- Occasionally

  • Interacting with Customers/Donors-Frequently

  • Working in various weather conditions

  • Drive Jubilee trucks

  • Some evenings and Saturdays may be required


  


Duties:



  1. Management of Donation Dock, Trucking, and Bale areas.

  2. Assist with the training and instruction of new and existing staff, Aftercare program students, and volunteers.

  3. Manage scheduling of staff, Aftercare program students, and volunteers.

  4. Assist in the hiring and evaluation of staff and Aftercare program students.

  5. Manage the flow of furniture items from dock to storage or store.

  6. Manage the flow of sold items from retail to delivery or pick up.

  7. Manage the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the dock, trucks, and connected areas.

  8. Arrange for delivery and pick up of all items to the warehouse and stores. 

  9. Oversee the maintenance of trucks and equipment.

  10. Coordinate snow removal.

  11. Attend required processing meetings and be part of staff meetings and team building

  12. Other duties as assigned.
