Dockhand (Seasonal)

This position is Seasonal: May - September

You will serve on a team whose job is to help Shelter Cove Marina engage with all guests to create a memorable experience. You will contribute to the success of the Marina by providing outstanding customer service to all guests we encounter. By supporting our company's Noble Purpose, your top priority will be to care about our guests, and the impact you make on their lives.

Dock duties include:

• Assisting in all aspects of the docks
• Slip reservations
• Maintenance tasks
• Ensuring a neat and orderly appearance of the docks
• Provide boaters with assistance
• Assist guests with any questions
• Assist with fueling procedures

Retail duties (as needed) include:

• Engaging with guests in the Ship's Store
• Answering questions about product or excursions/charters
• Assist with point of sales/cash handling
• Merchandise displays
• Receiving/stocking duties
• Conducting internal audits of retail inventories
• Maintain a clean and organized retail shopping experience
• Other duties as assigned
  

Requirements

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:

• Must demonstrate a level of proficiency using POS systems
• Customer focused with organizational and communication skills
• Experience in retail sales, fishing and boating is a plus, though not required

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Should be able to lift up to 20 pounds
• Long hours of standing.
