Procon is seeking a Document Controls Specialist based in Orlando, FL. This role involves managing project documentation and communication processes for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Qualifications and Skills
BA or BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction document controls, project management, or similar roles.
Strong familiarity with construction documentation processes and best practices.
Experience with eBuilder is required.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Experience working on public sector or City/State projects is a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage all aspects of project documentation, including preparation, distribution, and tracking of documents.
Establish and maintain document control processes to ensure compliance with project standards and requirements.
Facilitate communication among project stakeholders regarding documentation, drawings, and specifications.
Ensure timely submission and approval of all construction documents, including RFIs, submittals, and COs.
Monitor the status of documents and provide regular updates to the project team.
Assist in the organization and maintenance of the project filing system, both physical and electronic.
Participate in project meetings and prepare documentation as required, including meeting minutes and action items.
Support quality control processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of all documents.
Provide training and guidance to project team members on document control processes and tools.
