POSITION SUMMARY

The Document Courier is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the pick-up and drop-off of medical charts during their assigned courier routes. Document Couriers are also responsible from the beginning to the end of their assigned routes to ensure all established policies and procedures are followed. In addition, Document Couriers quickly communicate all issues that impact the quality or timely completion of the process to the Regional Director of Operations and Imaging Supervisor.
Schedule: Friday and Saturday nights, 12:00am - 6:00am but hours may vary. $16.00/hour.
Essential Functions:
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to communicate (both written and oral) clearly, proactively and concisely with all key stakeholders, manage their time by organizing and completing work within given deadlines, and make critical decisions while following company policies, guidelines, and procedures. Document Couriers must also be able to adapt to change in environment and/or circumstances with a positive outlook and adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, and/or cultures. Must independently take prompt proactive steps towards problem resolution and able to pay attention to details in order to perform work accurately and thoroughly. In addition, Document Couriers must have the ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must have either a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with a minimum of 6 months to 1-year related experience. Some college preferred, but not required. Must have general knowledge of computers, scanners, and office equipment. Thorough knowledge of federal and state information regulations and medical record keeping requirements. Must be able to pass pre-employment screening and driving history background based on Hospital and Company guidelines and policies
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is performed in an office setting within a hospital or warehouse environment. Long periods of sitting and or standing may be required at times. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Perform periodic visits to hospital floor (as required) for chart retrievals. Employee must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all last-minute projects or emergency situations.
