Document Management Specialist

The Document Management Specialist performs specialized work in the management of migration of electronic medical records from legacy EMRs to the document storage system. Provides support to the physician group through centralized scanning services.  Supports various departments throughout the organization with conversion of paper documentation to electronic format.   

Shift: M-F, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

• AAS or HSD with equivalent experience required. Registered Health Information Technician preferred.
• Prior experience working in a Medical Record department preferred.
• Excellent computer and typing skills required. Basic knowledge of office equipment required.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Experience with scanning equipment preferred.
• Ability to read various handwriting, detail oriented, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to handle stress in a mature and professional manner. Ability to identify problem situations and implement actions for improvement.

Physical Requirements: 

• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Requires normal vision/hearing range.
• Must be able to distinguish letters and numbers.
